Intersectional Therapeutic Practice Statement
The therapeutic relationship is inherently an ethical encounter where dignity is both assumed and cultivated, and this is particularly important when working with individuals whose identities including sexual orientation, gender identity, expression, race, and ethnicity have been marginalised by society. I am committed to understanding how societal messages about identity, including those rooted in heteronormativity, cisnormativity, and racism, become internalised and show up in our relational field, so that together we can explore new possibilities for authentic connection and being.
